Article 645 applies to the installation of equipment and wiring methods of information technology equipment located in an information technology equipment room. The intent of Section 645.5(A) is to recognize that information technology equipment can operate for over 3 hours, therefore it is to be considered a continuous load and the branch-circuit conductors supplying the equipment are to have an ampacity not less than 125% of the total connected load.
