The Miracle Question is a goal setting question that is useful when the client is "stuck" and does not have clear understanding or idea of how they would like to see their problem solved or what they would like their future to look like. The Miracle Question was born out of Solution-focused Therapy developed by Steve de Shazer and Insoo Kim Berg. The premise of this theory is to keep the client moving forward towards goals and solutions instead of spending time focusing on the problem. A counselor could phrase the Miracle Question in the following way, "Suppose you went to sleep tonight and while you were sleeping an angel came and granted you a miracle...When you woke up the next morning yo
