Technician A says with the engine off, pull out the dipstick, hold it over a shop rag and read it immediately. b - Technician B is correct because if the transmission oil cooler located in the radiator tank is leaking, the ATF under high pressure will mix with engine coolant and turn pink looking like Pepto Bismol. Technician A is wrong because you check the automatic transmission fluid level with the engine running and you wipe off the dipstick and replace it then pull dipstick back out and hold it over a shop rag to read the level.
