Lease is a contract. For consideration (usually rent) a landlord transfers to the tenant a property interest, or possession, for a prescribed time. The landlord is the lessor. The tenant placed in possession is the lessee. The tenant is entitled to Quiet Enjoyment of the premises without the tenants consent including the landlord.
